In August 2010, Netflix reached a five-year deal worth nearly $1 billion to stream films from Paramount, Lionsgate, and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. This new experience included “Clips,” a vertical video feed featuring short clips from Netflix series, films and specials tailored to each member. That same month, Netflix announced it would stream both National Football League Christmas games in 2024.
